Location:
Do you want to be within walking distance to Tamborine Mountain’s most popular attractions?
Amore is situated at one end of Gallery Walk. This means you can leave your car behind and walk across the road from your quiet, luxury accommodation directly to a boutique brewery, local cheese outlet, and restaurant. On weekends, a small band will entertain guests to the brewery, and when you are ready to retire to your accommodation and Amore’s spacious open verandahs, your rest won’t be spoilt by the band or the vibrant Gallery Walk shops. Amore is completely shielded by tall trees, and just the right distance away for total peace and quiet.
Walk further down Gallery Walk to art galleries, craft shops, fudge and chocolate specialty boutiques, clothing, books, gifts and so much more. Restaurants and cafes range from small alfresco coffee shops to seafood specialty restaurants. Cellar doors let your taste locally produced wines, and you can breathe the fresh mountain air as your stroll throughout the mountain township.
Do you like rainforest hikes?
Amore’s accommodation is close to three national parks on Tamborine Mountain. You can walk to Palm Grove, Joalah, and MacDonald National Parks. Joalah National Park is the closest, and only a 15 minute stroll away to the entrance of the park. Then it’s only another 15 minutes walking time to go directly to the base of Curtis Falls. These falls flow into a freshwater pond in front of you, and Curtis Falls flow every day of the year. Palm Grove National Park is about a 20 minute walk from your accommodation and features tall Piccabeen Palm groves which completely cover the light from the sky offering cathedral-like frond canopies that darken the area and create cool and quiet conditions suited for the hottest summer days.
Take a picnic lunch to enjoy after your hike. You can also visit one of the many cafes and restaurants either in the area or in Gallery Walk, on your way back to your accommodation.
Your accommodation in Tamborine Mountain makes the most of the mountain environment.
Amore’s verandahs offer bright sunshine right outside your accommodation, and the gardens are great for a quiet stroll to view the mixture of rainforest plants, native to the region, and varieties from Jacaranda to English country garden plantings, and roses.
Some days will be filled with warm sunshine, others will begin with cool mountain mist right outside the window of your accommodation. Then after a cool breeze, the mist lifts to present another sun filled day. It is a rainforest environment, so there are days when it will rain. Your accommodation has all the modern amenities to keep you cosy. You can even sit by the fireplace in the lounge, and enjoy a book or some quiet conversation. We have books available in our own library.
