Tamborine Mountain Accommodation

Where do you like to stay in Tamborine Mountain?

Everyone likes something different when they visit our hilltop community and Tamborine Mountain offers variety beyond visitors’ expectations.

Rainforest experience
Some visitors like to get away and stay in the full natural environment of the rainforest. Tall canopy trees, understory ferns and lush greenery. Cool, moist mountain air and hundreds of birds surround you in what could be nature’s wonderland. Yes it might rain or it might be a little cooler than expected, but this is nature, and it’s what creates such a spectacle, so many visitors endure the challenges and warm up by an open fire in the accommodation house, reviewing the day’s events. Developed in 1995 the Amore B&B garden is home to a mature Rainforest section, roses, a variety of fruit, magnolia, palms, jacaranda, camellia, avocado, guava, exotics, natives and an array of colour from January through to December.

Village experience
The village experience offers a feeling of taking part in mountain life culture. Quiet and trendy art-rooms, soft folk music, fresh mountain air, and drifting mist in the mornings. A boutique cafe serving locally roasted coffee and some fresh mountain made pastries might be just what you had in mind when you left the bustling city of Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

Tamborine Mountain offers so much variety with events, festivals and shows. In spring there is the Springtime on the Mountain Festival – a springtime display of flowering gardens. Markets are available twice a month, movies and plays are shown at the Zamia Theatre, and restaurants offer local and international cuisine. There are breweries, wineries, cellar doors, and active tourist attractions like Glow Worm Caves and Adventure Parc high ropes activities. You might prefer a relaxing stroll through the rainforest to see waterfalls or have a picnic in a park or the Botanical Gardens, visit art galleries, or enjoy the mountain views in a leisurely drive.

Amore B&B is located right in Gallery Walk, a renowned arts, crafts, restaurant and cellar door precinct. From your room you can stroll along the pathway directly to Gallery Walk shops and boutiques. In five minutes, you can be enjoying a locally made speciality cheese, a crafted beer, or viewing local paintings and crafts. And if you like the rainforest experience too, we are located within 15 minutes’ walk to Joalah and Palm Grove National Parks. Each have waterfalls, with Joalah having the most accessible waterfall. You can hike all day and walk to restaurants at night. We also have a fireplace in the Guest’s lounge area, great to sit and chat about your day’s experiences, or read a book from the extensive library.
